Volunteers Week ran from the 1st to 7th June and was an important opportunity to remember to thank volunteers nationwide. To mark this occasion Runnymede Association of Voluntary Services (RAVS) organised a special celebration event with entertainment from jazz band Grandpas Spells.  The band played to visitors to Chertsey’s Sainsbury Centre as well as to RAVS volunteers.  This annual event is organised to recognise volunteers who have volunteered over the past year and to thank them for their time spent supporting the Runnymede community.  RAVS were present at other locations in the borough throughout the week to raise the profile of volunteering and encourage more people to volunteer their time.
