RAVS has recently purchased a listing of "Invisible Grantmakers 2009" for the benefit of organisations in Runnymede who are looking for funding.

This listing has been produced following intensive research into the Charity Commission Central Register.  The trusts listed do not appear in the CAF/DSC Directories of Grant Making Trusts nor are they currently featured on the DSC's database of trusts at www.trustfunding.org.uk.  These grantmakers are therefore invisible to the majority of fundraisers.  It is likely however that the most sizeable of the trusts referred to here will eventually be included in the mainstream directories.  Similarly recently registered trusts may have been featured in listings from other specialist providers.

This listing is permanently available in the RAVS office.  Feel free to pop in anytime if you would like to have a look at it.

David Edney, Fundraiser from Mediation North Surrey made use of these resources in early November and identified 10 trusts from the trustfunding database and 26 from the listing of “Invisible Grantmakers 2009”.  David was very happy to have this information and will be setting to work to contact the various trusts identified for funding.
