Surrey Drug & Alcohol Action Team (SDAAT) and the Surrey PCT are providing training specifically for practitioners who work with people who may be misusing substances

Surrey Drug & Alcohol Action Team (SDAAT) and the Surrey PCT are providing training specifically for practitioners who work with people who may be misusing substances. 

The aims of the training are:
• To develop an understanding of the different legal and illegal drugs that may be misused,     their effects and availability;
• To explore attitudes towards the use of drugs within society;
• To address ways in which drug misuse may relate to professional practice;
• To gain knowledge of the local services which provide treatment and prevention for         substance misuse;
• To engage with clients by using a selection of brief intervention tools

The training supports KSF / DANOS learning outcomes AA1/AA2/AA3/AB2/AB5/AB8/AD1/AF1/AF2/AG3/AH10

The dates for this training in 2009 are:

20th January,10th March, 12th May, 16th June, 13th October, 17th November

All training will be held in the Conference Room, Ramsay House, West Park Hospital, Epsom.

Training is FREE OF CHARGE and will be for a full day from 10.00am to 4.30pm.  Please note that lunch will not be provided.  Please either bring your own or you can buy sandwiches etc. from a van which calls every day.
