Overview of the role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a part-time role of 1.5 days per week. Responsibilities include keeping the sage accounting system up to date in preparation for month end, preparing all payments including cheques and BACS for authorisation and to input into budget/cashflow forecasting process for Head of Finance. You will have day to day dealing with the Managing Director and the Head of Fund Raising as necessary.

Duties of the role
Input all purchase invoices into purchase ledger accounts
Prepare sales invoices and input into sales ledger accounts
Process all bank payments and receipts and do monthly bank reconciliations
Responsibility to ensure that all banking is done correctly
Ensure that petty cash process is operated correctly and responsibility for monthly petty cash reconciliations
Monitor grant and donation receipts and feed into Head of Finance for budget/cashflow monitoring
Prepare and post salary journal
Review & reconcile various balance sheet accounts as necessary
Responsible for monthly gift aid returns

Experience required
Previous experience of bookkeeping is essential and experience of one accounting system is preferable (not necessarily sage). Full training will be given.
